Pumpkin Carving

This year we got smart since the weather has been fantastic and carved pumpkins out on the back patio. Our pumpkins turned out so cute (oh ...maybe I should say scary). The children had a good time carving (well I carved them) drawing their faces on the pumpkins and pulling out their guts. I think Cameron had a pretty good time as well. His pumpkin is the one that says "Boo". This year Caden will be a pirate, Braken will be Dracula, Brenna is a cheerleader, and dog darling is a witch. We are going to a ward party tonight so it will be the first of many costume parties, I think Brenna has been to three already. Have a SPOOKY HALLOWEEN!!!

Caden & Braken - Football 08'

Caden & Braken started flag football this fall in Smithfield. They have absolutely loved playing and learning the game. During one game Braken ran a 50 yard touchdown. He was so excited that he could hardly stand himself. He kept asking everyone on the sidelines, "Did you know that I made that touchdown?" (over and over again). Caden became an excellent safety and good reciever as well. By the last few games he was pulling off just about everyones flag. (If you had the football that is.) Cameron was so excited to see his boys play that he helped out with coaching every practice. He must feel like he is in his element coaching football, because he really got in to it! "Living the dream through his sons."

Fall 08'

Finally we found the time to take some family pictures with Karlie included. It only took us a year and a half but we made it. Cameron's parentsare going on a mission to the West Indies on December 1st, and I thought this would be a great way for them to keep up with the ongoings of our small family. Since I am new to this blog stuff please be patient. I'm hoping to get a few things figured out soon.
A few weeks ago I took the children up Strawberry Canyon and took some fallish pictures. The kids had a great time! we barely made it back before the first snow of the year began to fall. While hiking around we found some interesting deer legs? Why would there be only two deer legs perfectly cut off and discarded? Where were the other two my children wanted to know. I'm not a hunter and had absolutely no idea why those legs were there, but the children thought they were "gross" and "cool". Enjoy the wonderful weather while it lasts!
